Ernie Haase & Signature Sound

Ernie Haase and Signature Sound will perform their new project, appropriately named “Here we are again”, in a year which will see them perform over 200 live shows, including over 30 international dates.

As part of last year’s concert in Lerwick, the band played many of the Southern Gospel hits, with an impromptu performance of Elvis Pressley’s “I can’t stop falling in love with you” thrown in for good measure.  All of which was met by rapturous applause from the full house in the Clickimin.

Internationally acclaimed performers Ernie Haase and Signature Sound are to return to Shetland’s Clickimin Centre during as part of a UK wide tour in May 2012.  The group, which played in front of a full house in Lerwick’s Clickimin centre in February 2011, is said to be “delighted” to be returning to Shetland after such a positive first experience in the isles.

Ernie Haase and Signature Sound were nominated for a Grammy recently at the 52nd Awards ceremony in the USA, and have also performed at the home of country music, the Grand Ole Opry.  Their energetic vocal harmonies really impressed during the first Shetland concert, leading a senior member of staff at the Clickimin to say that in 25 years the centre had not hosted such vocal perfection as that provided by EH&SS

The 2012 Shetland gig will be backed by a team of quality musicians to perform for one night only in the Clickimin Centre to what is expected to be a packed audience.  The group comprises of 4 male vocalists, each performing a unique vocal harmony. The group members are: Ernie Haase – Tenor, Devin McGlamery – Lead, Ian Owens – Bass and Doug Anderson – Baritone.

It is expected that the appetite for country and southern gospel music at events such as the Thomas Fraser Festival and the Shetland Folk Festival will be replicated next May at this showcase of energetic southern gospel entertainment.

EH&SS promoter and agent Trevor King said during an interview that “Ernie Haase and Signature Sound do not need to be oversold, their quality performances and global success to date speaks for itself”.    He also added that “the Shetland gig was a great experience for us in 2011, the production staff, sound and lighting, the quality of the venue, and most importantly the audience appreciation were all outstanding.  We are delighted to be making a return to Shetland in 2012.”
